PowerPoints about Ancient Egyptian Civilization - Overviews
The ancient Egyptians believed in an afterlife, a wonderful and magical place, where you could blissfully spend your days after you died if you had done enough good deeds during your lifetime. The ancient Egyptians believed doing good deeds made their hearts physically light. This was important because they believed their gods actually weighed their hearts after they died. There was no pretending. If your heart was light, the gods would welcome you into your afterlife. But, if your heart was heavy, well, best not to think about that. Thanks to this belief, many millions and possibly trillions and perhaps even zillions of good deeds were done by the ancient Egyptians. This helped to make their life along the Nile River very pleasant indeed!
